#1 We go ALL THE WAY AROUND THE MOUNTAIN so you don't see the same thing twice! #2 We do it in REVERSE, the way the locals do it! There are a few options to choose from to explore the Road to Hana so you can experience the rainforest & its waterfalls, streams, fresh water ponds, bamboo forests & lush foliage, but there is only one company where the owners are actually a Native Hawaiian husband & wife team that were born & raised Hawaii. We pride ourselves in sharing the Hawaiian culture, history, & stories about Hawaii & what its like to live life here in the islands, while treating you like the VIP that you are! Our family history goes back 150 years & they still live in a little community out on the Road to Hana. While on tour we'll stop by our family's fruit stand that has been operating for 40 yrs & is the home of "the original banana bread." We'll cover the rigid & rugged terrain on the backside of Maui & travel where most visitors never see. Hot lunch & souvenir backpack included.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on the Road to Hana tour?

A: There’s no strict age limit, but it’s recommended for kids 5 and up since the tour can get a bit bumpy and long. They do provide a Malama Kit for those sensitive to car rides, which can help. Just make sure your little ones are up for a day full of adventure, with plenty of stops for snacks and fun!

Q: What do we wear for this tour? Is swimming involved?

A: Wear comfy clothes and definitely bring a swimsuit if you want to take a dip in the waterfalls! The tour includes towels for swimming, so don’t worry about that. Flip flops or water shoes work well, just keep in mind the hike to some of the spots can be a bit slippery.

Q: What happens if the weather is bad? Do they cancel the tour?

A: They do monitor weather conditions closely. If it’s too dangerous, they’ll cancel and usually offer a reschedule or a refund. But it’s also good to know that some rain is part of the experience on the Road to Hana, and you can still enjoy stunning views!

Thinking about gifting the Full-Circle Reverse Tour, anyone done it?

I’m considering this tour for my parents' anniversary! They love adventure and the idea of going the 'reverse' route sounds really cool. From what I read, the local guides are super knowledgeable about Hawaiian culture, which they’d appreciate. Just trying to figure out if they’ll enjoy the drive since it’s a long one. Any thoughts?

Full-Circle Reverse Tour Experience: Worth it?

I just booked the Full-Circle Reverse Tour for my best friend’s birthday! I’m so excited. They mentioned there’s a fruit stand with the ‘original banana bread’—I can’t wait to try it. Anyone know if the lunch is really good? Hoping it’s a treat since I’m splurging a bit on this gift.
