Q&A
A: Definitely wear clothes that can get wet! A swimsuit or quick-dry materials work best. I’d also suggest wearing water shoes or sandals with straps. Don’t forget sunscreen and a hat since you’ll be out in the sun for a while, and maybe a light jacket if you get cold easily in the water.
A: Kids are totally welcome, but they should be at least 6 years old to paddle in their own kayak. If they’re younger, they can ride along with an adult. It’s great for families, and I saw lots of kids having a blast on my tour!
A: If the weather looks sketchy, you can usually reschedule without a problem! Just reach out to Lone Star Kayak Tours ahead of time. They’re really good about keeping safety first and will inform you if the tour is cancelled due to bad weather.

Finally signed up for the Austin Skyline Kayak tour!
I bought this experience as a surprise for my boyfriend's birthday, and I’m so excited! The thought of kayaking along the skyline and then swimming in Barton Creek sounds so amazing. I’ve heard the guides are really knowledgeable about the city too, which I think will make it super fun. Can't wait to see the Owl Building and the Jenga Tower up close! Anyone have tips for the best lunch to pack?
Is the Full-Day Austin Skyline Kayak tour worth the price?
Thinking about getting this for my brother's graduation gift. Is it really a full day, or is it more like a half day? It sounds awesome, but I wanna make sure it’s worth it for the money. What’s included in the experience? Anyone done it recently?
