Q&A
A: Yes, this tour is designed for experienced paddlers. Generally, participants should be at least 12 years old, but it can depend on the group's overall skill level. If you're planning to gift this, make sure the recipient is comfortable with kayaking and hiking in rugged terrain. It's a solid challenge, but definitely a blast for the right crowd!
A: Dress in breathable, moisture-wicking clothes. I recommend a good pair of swim shoes since you’ll be on the water and hiking a bit. Don’t forget sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses! The tour can get pretty hot since it's in the desert, so layers are key for the cooler morning and warmer afternoon. Also, bring a swimsuit if you're planning to swim at the beach stop!
A: If the weather is unsafe for kayaking, they typically reschedule the tour. Trek Las Vegas is pretty flexible about that. You can usually call ahead or check their website for updates. Just make sure to keep an eye on the forecast leading up to the trip! They want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable time.

Thinking about gifting the Black Canyon kayak tour! Anyone done it?
Hey everyone! I’m looking into this Full-Day Black Canyon Kayak & Hike Tour for my boyfriend's birthday. He’s an experienced kayaker and loves hiking. I read there’s some cool petroglyphs and a beach stop, plus it’s away from the Vegas crowds. Just want to know if it’s as awesome as it sounds or if anyone has tips for first-timers!
Just finished the Black Canyon kayak tour—what a day!
Wow, I just got back from the Full-Day Black Canyon kayak tour and it was epic! The 8-mile stretch was challenging but so rewarding. We saw these amazing petroglyphs and had plenty of time to swim at the beach. Our guide was awesome and provided snacks which were a lifesaver! If you’re thinking about this tour, do it! Just make sure you’re in good shape for the hike too.
