Q&A
A: Yes, there is an age restriction. Kids need to be at least 7 years old to participate in the Browns Canyon full-day rafting trip. It's super fun for families, but I’d recommend checking with the company just to ensure your specific date can accommodate younger kids, if you have any. Safety is key!
A: Wear quick-dry clothing, like swim trunks or moisture-wicking shirts. A light rain jacket is a good idea if it’s a particularly chilly day. You’ll definitely want water shoes or sandals that can get wet! Just be prepared to get splashed during the rapids. It can be surprisingly refreshing, though!
A: Buena Vista is pretty accessible by car, especially if you're coming from Denver or Colorado Springs. There is ample parking at the meeting point, but it can get crowded on weekends. I suggest arriving about 30 minutes early to find a spot and get checked in.

Just got back from the full-day Browns Canyon rafting trip!
OMG, it was incredible! We rafted for about 4-5 hours and the lunch break was a nice touch. Deli sandwiches and fresh cookies while surrounded by the mountains? Yes, please! The rapids were super fun—especially Seidel's Suckhole. Just a heads up, we were with other people in the boat, but it was still a blast. Definitely recommend it for a day of adventure!
Thinking of gifting the Browns Canyon rafting experience to my brother!
I want to get my brother something exciting for his birthday, and this rafting trip looks perfect. He loves the outdoors and has been talking about trying whitewater rafting. Anyone have tips for making it extra special? Should I include a little something like a waterproof camera to capture the fun?
