Q&A
A: There’s no strict age limit, but we recommend kids be at least 10 years old and able to ride a bike independently. The e-bikes make it easier for younger riders. Just keep an eye on their comfort level during the 27-mile ride! It’s a great way for families to bond over history and adventure.
A: Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing is key! Layers work well since temperatures can fluctuate in Yosemite. Closed-toe shoes are a must for biking and panning. Don’t forget a hat and sunscreen!
A: If the weather isn’t good, you can definitely reschedule! The provider is pretty flexible and will work with you to find a better date. Just make sure to call ahead to sort it out.

Just did the E-Bike & Gold-Panning Tour—what a blast!
I recently took the Full Day E-Bike & Gold-Panning Tour in Yosemite and it was unforgettable! The e-bikes were super comfy, which helped since we did 27 miles. Ira, our guide, was so knowledgeable about the gold rush—it made the panning experience even more special. I actually found a few flecks of gold! Lunch was great too. Highly recommend this as a gift or for a fun day out!
Considering the E-Bike tour for my partner’s birthday!
I’m thinking of gifting this E-Bike and gold-panning tour for my boyfriend’s birthday. He loves history and outdoor activities. Has anyone done this? Is there a lot of uphill biking? Just want to make sure it’s fun and not too strenuous. Thanks!
