Q&A
A: I'd recommend dressing in layers! The weather in Skagway can change quickly, so a good base layer, a warm middle layer, and a waterproof outer layer are key. Don't forget to bring a hat and gloves too, just in case it gets chilly while you're out there. Comfortable hiking shoes are a must since there might be some short hikes.
A: Yes, you can reschedule! The tour operators are really flexible with weather cancellations since they know how unpredictable it can be in Skagway. Just make sure to reach out as soon as you know there’s an issue. They’ll work something out for you!
A: There’s no strict age limit, so kids can definitely join! However, it’s best for kids who are somewhat adventurous and can handle some walking. Just check with the guide beforehand if you have little ones. They might have some recommendations on what to bring for younger guests.

Just got back from the Emerald Lake Tour, and it was AMAZING!
I can't recommend this tour enough! Our guide had over 30 years of experience and really knew the South Klondike Highway like the back of his hand. We saw mountain goats through the spotting scope, and the photo tutoring was super helpful. The whole day was customized to what we wanted, and the scenery was out of this world. If you're considering this as a gift, do it! The Yukon Wild Adventure Husky Camp was the cherry on top!
Thinking of gifting the Emerald Lake Tour—worth it?
I've been looking at this Full Day Emerald Lake Tour with Huskies as a gift for my partner. He loves photography and wildlife. Is this tour really as good as it sounds? How’s the experience with the guide? Any tips on what to expect?
