Q&A

Q: Are there any age limits for the Koko Head Stairs hike?

A: The Koko Head Stairs are pretty challenging, so they recommend participants be at least 12 years old. Younger kids might struggle with the steepness. Just make sure whoever you take is up for a good workout! It’s a fun, active day!

Q: What should I wear for the hike and beach visits?

A: Definitely wear comfortable hiking shoes since the stairs can be tough on your feet. Light, breathable clothing is a must, plus a hat and sunscreen for the beach! Don’t forget a swimsuit if you want to jump in the ocean afterward, and bring a towel.

Q: How does parking work at Koko Head Stairs? Is it crowded?

A: Parking can get pretty crowded, especially on weekends. There’s a small lot at the base of the hike, but it fills up quickly. If you can, try to go early in the morning to snag a spot. Alternatively, the tour includes transportation, so you won't have to worry about parking!

Just did the Koko Head Stairs hike - wow!

I recently booked the Full-Day Guided Adventure in Koko Head Stairs and it was AMAZING! The hike is super challenging, but totally worth it for the views. The beaches afterwards were gorgeous, especially Makapu'u. I went with a couple of friends as a birthday gift and we all had a blast. Just a heads-up, bring lots of water and snacks - you'll need the energy!

Thinking about gifting this hike experience.

I want to surprise my boyfriend with something special, and the Koko Head Stairs adventure looks like a hit! He loves hiking and the beach, but I’m worried about the difficulty level. Is it really as hard as they say? Anyone have tips for first-timers?
