Q&A
A: The prime fishing season in Ketchikan usually runs from late May to early September. During this time, you can catch both halibut and salmon. I went in July last year, and we had a fantastic haul! Just make sure to check the weather forecast too, as conditions can change quickly.
A: There are no strict age restrictions, but I recommend this for kids who are at least 8 years old. They need to be able to listen and follow instructions. I took my 10 and 12-year-olds last summer, and they had a blast! Just be sure to bring some warm clothes for them.
A: Definitely dress in layers! It can get chilly on the water, even in summer. Waterproof jackets are a must, and don't forget good shoes because it can be slippery. I went in late July, and it got a bit windy, so I was glad I wore my windbreaker.

Thinking about booking the combo fishing tour in Ketchikan!
Hey everyone! I’m planning to gift the Full Day Halibut/Salmon Combo Tour to my dad for his birthday. He loves fishing! Just wanted to know if anyone’s done it and if you think it's worth it. I heard Alaska Affordable Adventures has great reviews. What do you guys think? Any tips?
Full Day Fishing Tour Experience – Just Amazing!
I just got back from the Full Day Halibut/Salmon Combo Tour in Ketchikan, and I can't recommend it enough! We caught so many fish, and the lunch they provided was delicious. The captains knew exactly where to go. Seriously, if you're considering this for a gift, do it! You won’t regret it.
