Join us on a journey to the famous Bavarian town of Leavenworth, tucked among the Cascade Mountains and blanketed in the winter spirit with thousands of holiday lights, eternal Christmas Stores, snow frosted trees, and more! It's something that you just have to experience for yourself. This full day tour begins in Seattle and travels east through Snoqualmie Pass where you will stop to enjoy warm drinks and a hike or snowshoe walk along a level forested trail. The total walk will be 1-2.5 miles depending on the day. As you continue, notice how the landscape changes from west to east side of the Cascade Mountains. Washington is often thought of as the rainy state, but you'll soon notice the air seems drier! Most of the east side receives between 5-25 in. of precipitation annually (making for a great winter escape!) In Leavenworth, you have time in town on your own. Experience authentic Bavarian foods, shop around the artisan stores, or wander through the festive streets of downtown.

A: Dress in layers! The weather can change quick in the mountains. Make sure to wear a good pair of waterproof boots, and bring warm socks. I also suggest wearing a water-resistant jacket and gloves to stay cozy during the hike. You’ll be out there for a while, so comfort is key!

A: Yes, you can reschedule if the weather doesn’t cooperate! They usually contact you in advance if there’s a cancellation. Just reach out to them directly to pick a new date. I had to do this last winter and it was super easy!

A: This tour is great for families! Kids 5 and up can join, but keep in mind that the hike is a bit challenging for younger ones. It’s really a fun day for everyone with snow activities and Leavenworth’s festive vibe! Just be sure they can handle a day out in the cold.

Just got back from the Leavenworth tour!

OMG, it was amazing! The snowshoeing was a blast and the views were stunning. Leavenworth is all decked out for the holidays; it felt like a Christmas movie. I can't recommend this enough for a day trip! Just a heads up, make sure you wear warm clothes or you’ll freeze during the hike.
