Massive blue glaciers, narrow fjords and abundant marine life are just some of the reasons that Kenai Fjords National Park is at the top of many outdoor enthusiasts’ bucket lists. Cruise through the fjords while learning about the region’s fascinating natural history on this 8-hour trip. Floating through Alaska’s pristine waters is the best way to see this stunning national park, and this is the only daily tour that visits the magnificent Northwestern Fjord, home to three amazing tidewater glaciers and numerous alpine glaciers.

Q&A

Q: What should I wear for the Northwestern Glacier & Wildlife Tour in Seward?

A: Layering is key! I'd recommend a waterproof jacket since it can get chilly and damp out on the water. Also, wear comfortable shoes since you'll be on the boat for a long time. Bring a hat and sunglasses too; the glare off the water can be intense. Lastly, don’t forget to bring a light sweatshirt for when you're cruising through the fjords!

Q: Is there an age limit for this glacier tour?

A: There isn't a strict age limit, but younger kids will need to be supervised. I've seen families with toddlers and older kids enjoying the tour. Just keep in mind that it's a long day, so if your kiddo isn't great on boats, it might be tough. The tour is suitable for all ages, but make sure they can handle the 8 hours on the water!

Q: What happens if the weather is bad on the day of the tour?

A: If the weather doesn't cooperate, the tour provider usually reschedules or offers a full refund. I suggest calling them a day or two before to check the forecast. They’re super helpful in making arrangements if needed. Just keep an eye on your email for updates if you do book!

Just went on the Northwestern Glacier Tour and it was AMAZING!

Hey everyone! I just got back from the Full day Northwestern Glacier & Wildlife Tour from Seward and wow, it was unforgettable! We got super close to the tidewater glaciers, and the seals were totally adorable. The lunch they provided was surprisingly good too—definitely better than I expected! If you’re thinking of getting this as a gift or even doing it yourself, do it! Just remember to layer up because it gets cold on the water. My husband and I spent the whole day just in awe of the views and wildlife!

Thinking of gifting the glacier tour to my parents

Hi all! I'm considering getting this glacier tour for my parents' anniversary. They’ve always wanted to see Alaska's beauty, and this seems perfect. Has anyone done it recently? Any tips on the best times to go or how to book? I wanna make it special for them!
