Q&A
A: There aren’t any strict age limits for the tour! It’s great for all ages, but do keep in mind that some kids might get a bit restless during the longer parts of the drive. Just bring some snacks and maybe a tablet to keep them entertained. The guide is super accommodating and can help with any kid-friendly suggestions.
A: Yes! The tour provider is pretty flexible with rescheduling, especially if you give them a heads up at least 48 hours in advance. They understand that plans change. Just shoot them an email or give them a call, and they’ll help you find a new date that works.
A: Dress casually and comfortably! Layers are key since mornings can be cool, especially at Mount Soledad, but it warms up in the afternoon. Comfortable shoes are a must since you'll be walking at La Jolla Cove and Old Town. And don’t forget sunscreen! You can never go wrong with a hat, too.

Thinking about booking the full day private tour from Carlsbad!
Hey everyone! I’m considering gifting the Full Day Private SD Tour from Carlsbad for my family’s visit next month. I love that it starts with Mount Soledad and includes stops at La Jolla Cove and Old Town. I think they’ll love the snacks and water included, but I’m a bit worried about traffic on the Coronado Bridge. Anyone experienced this tour? How was the driving part and parking around those hotspots?
Just got back from the private tour, and it was AMAZING!
OMG, we just did the full day private tour from Carlsbad last weekend, and it was one of the best experiences! Mount Soledad was breathtaking, and seeing the sea lions at La Jolla Cove was so fun. Our guide was super knowledgeable and took awesome pics for us. Just a heads up, definitely bring your own lunch; the Embarcadero is a great spot but restaurants can be pricey! So worth it!
