Q&A
A: There’s no specific age limit, but it’s definitely family-friendly! Younger kids usually love the sea lions at La Jolla Cove and the Hotel del Coronado is super interesting to explore, too. Just keep in mind that the tour goes at a pretty steady pace, so be sure they can handle a full day of activities. If you have any special needs, just contact Best Coast Tours ahead of time!
A: Layering is key! San Diego can be warm, but areas like La Jolla have coastal breezes. A light jacket is great for the morning at Mount Soledad and you'll want comfy shoes since you’ll be walking around. Don’t forget sunglasses and sunscreen, especially if you're planning to stroll in Balboa Park!
A: Typically, you’ll spend about 30-45 minutes at places like La Jolla and Old Town, and a bit less at the Hotel del Coronado since the drive is more scenic. Your guide will customize it based on the group's interests, though, so if you have a specific spot you want to linger at, just let them know ahead of time!

Thinking of gifting the Full Day Private SD Tour!
I’m considering getting this tour for my family for my parents’ anniversary. It looks like a fantastic way to show them around San Diego! The stops at La Jolla Cove and Old Town are exactly what they’d love. Has anyone done this recently? How was the guide? Any tips on making it extra special?
Just did the Full Day Private Tour and it was AMAZING!
Wow, what a day! We started at Mount Soledad for those killer views, then hit La Jolla for the sea lions. The guide had so many cool stories, especially about the Gaslamp Quarter. Ending with the drive through Balboa Park was breathtaking! I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to explore SD.
