Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit, but I'd say it's great for kids 5 and up. The wildlife and scenery are awesome for little ones! Just keep in mind that the tour can last a whole day, so younger kids might get restless. They do provide snacks and water, which helps!
A: Late spring to early fall (May to September) is ideal. The weather is milder, and you'll see the most wildlife. In summer, there's longer daylight too, which is a big plus! Just be prepared for some rain, especially in the rainforest areas.
A: Yes! They provide lunch in Girdwood, which is super convenient. You get some pretty nice options, and it’s a great way to refuel after all the sightseeing. Just let them know if you have any dietary restrictions!

Thinking of gifting the Turnagain Tour - any thoughts?
I'm considering this full-day tour for my mom's birthday! She loves nature and wildlife. I read that they stop at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center and have lunch in Girdwood, which sounds fantastic. How's the experience for someone who might not be super active? Any tips?
Just got back from the Turnagain Tour - WOW!
I just did the full-day tour and it was amazing! The views along Turnagain Arm were breathtaking, and seeing the wild Dall sheep was a highlight. I loved the stop at the AWCC! The lunch in Girdwood was yummy too. Totally worth it! Would highly recommend for anyone visiting Anchorage!
