Q&A

Q: Are there any age restrictions for the full-day tour in DC?

A: There aren't any strict age restrictions for the tour. It's suitable for all ages, but keep in mind that some of the walking involved, especially at Arlington Cemetery, may be challenging for very young kids or older adults with mobility issues. They recommend checking with your guide if you have specific concerns.

Q: What should we wear for this tour? Is it mostly walking?

A: Comfortable shoes are a must! A lot of walking is involved, especially at Arlington Cemetery and the memorials. Dress in layers since it can get warm during the day but cool down in the evening. Also, don’t forget a hat or sunscreen if it’s sunny!

Q: Can you reschedule if something comes up last minute?

A: Yes! Oleta Tour & Travel is pretty accommodating with rescheduling. Just give them a call at least 48 hours in advance, and they should be able to help you find another date that works.

Just got back from the DC tour! Here’s my experience!

I just did the full-day tour in DC with Oleta Tours, and it was awesome! We started with breakfast at a cute diner before heading to Arlington Cemetery. The guide shared some really cool stories about JFK's grave. Then, we hit up all the major memorials. The Lincoln Memorial was breathtaking! We had a two-hour break for lunch, which was nice. I recommend checking out a nearby food truck for something quick. We got back to Williamsburg around 9:30 PM, and I was exhausted but so happy! Perfect gift for history buffs!

Thinking about gifting the DC tour—any tips?

I’m considering this full-day tour in DC as a gift for my parents. They love history and have never been to DC. I’m just worried about how tiring it might be. What’s the actual schedule like? Also, how’s the parking situation if we drive?
