Q&A

Q: What should we wear for the driftboat fishing experience? Is it cold in the morning?

A: Absolutely dress in layers! Mornings can be chilly, especially in Jackson Hole. I’d recommend wearing a light jacket or fleece and maybe some quick-dry pants. Don't forget your hat and sunglasses for later in the day when the sun comes out! Oh, and sunscreen is a must.

Q: How many people can fit in one driftboat? Is it okay for kids?

A: The boats can fit up to 5 guests, so it’s perfect for families or small groups! Kids are totally welcome, and the guides are great with teaching beginners. Just make sure your kids are at least 5 years old for safety reasons.

Q: What happens if the weather is bad? Can we reschedule our fishing trip?

A: If the weather isn’t safe for fishing, they’ll reach out and offer to reschedule. Make sure to check their cancellation policy, but usually, they’re pretty accommodating about changing dates if necessary.

Thinking of gifting a full day of driftboat fishing in Jackson Hole!

Hey everyone! I’m considering this driftboat fishing experience for my dad’s birthday. The idea of fishing in Jackson Hole sounds amazing, especially with the family-friendly guides. Has anyone tried it? What was the best part? Any tips for a first-timer?

Driftboat Fishing Experience - Worth It?

Has anyone actually gone driftboat fishing with Wandering Angler? I’m thinking of buying it for my brother. He’s into fly fishing but hasn’t done much spin fishing. Would both options be fun for him? What’s the vibe like?
