Q&A
A: Yes, kids can definitely join this rafting trip! Typically, children as young as 6 years old are welcome, but it’s best to check with Rubicon Outfitters for their specific age guidelines. It’s a great family activity, just be prepared for some thrilling rapids! Life jackets are provided for all ages, so safety is a priority.
A: You’ll want to wear quick-dry clothes that you don’t mind getting wet. A swimsuit and a rash guard work great! Be sure to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat to protect yourself from the sun. It can get chilly in the morning, so layers are a good idea. Bring a light jacket if you tend to get cold easily, especially after swimming during the lunch break.
A: Rubicon Outfitters will monitor the weather, and if conditions aren’t safe, they’ll cancel the trip. You can request to reschedule for another date that works for you. Just make sure to call them ahead of time to discuss other available dates!

Thinking about gifting this rafting trip for my husband’s birthday!
Hey everyone! I'm considering getting the full-day whitewater rafting trip on the Salmon River for my husband’s birthday next month. He’s been wanting to try something adventurous, and this seems perfect! The trip lasts 8 hours and includes lunch, which sounds awesome. Has anyone done this? Any tips on making the day special?
Just got back from the Salmon River rafting trip!
I went on the full-day rafting trip last weekend and it was AMAZING! The guides were super friendly and the rapids were so much fun. We also had a nice beach lunch that felt like a little vacation by itself. Totally worth it if you're looking for adventure! Just a heads up, the waters were a bit cold, so be ready for that after getting tossed around.
