Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this sushi-making class? Can kids join?

A: There’s no strict age limit for the class, but I’d say kids 10 and up would enjoy it the most! Chef Shota is great with younger participants too, so it can be a fun family activity. Just keep in mind that they might need a little help with the knife skills if they’re really young.

Q: What should I wear to the sushi-making class? Is it messy?

A: Definitely wear something casual that you don't mind getting a little messy! An apron is provided, but you might still end up with some rice or soy sauce on your clothes. I suggest comfy clothes and closed-toe shoes just in case!

Q: Can you reschedule the class if something comes up? How flexible are they?

A: Yes, rescheduling is pretty straightforward! Just reach out to Classpop at least 48 hours in advance, and they’ll help you find another date. Just be mindful of that time frame; it’s pretty flexible as long as you give them notice.

Just did the sushi-making class with Chef Shota - AMAZING!

I went to the Fun Sushi Making class in Brooklyn last weekend, and wow, it was so much fun! Chef Shota is super chill and makes it really easy to learn. We made a California roll and a veggie roll, and I actually could roll them like a pro by the end! Plus, eating the sushi I made was the best part. Definitely thinking about gifting this to my sister for her birthday!

Thinking of gifting the sushi-making class - any tips?

I’m considering this sushi-making class as a gift for my parents. They love trying new things! Just wanted to know if the experience is worth it? Like, is it really hands-on, or do you just watch a lot? Any insights would be great!
