This hands-on cooking class with Chef Lina transforms simple ingredients into a restaurant-worthy bowl of wonton noodle soup. You’ll begin by preparing a savory pork filling, blending Chinese seasonings for depth and balance. Then, learn the proper folding technique to seal delicate wontons into neat, flavorful parcels. As your dumplings rest, you’ll build a fragrant broth and prepare fresh components including egg noodles, bok choy and julienned carrots. Chef Lina walks you step-by-step through timing and assembly, showing you how to layer textures for a vibrant, nourishing finish. Finally, simmer your wontons to tender perfection and ladle everything together into a steaming bowl. Hosted at a trendy Sacramento venue, this beginner-friendly experience includes all ingredients, professional tools and a complete meal you’ll prepare and enjoy yourself.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this cooking class? I want to take my 12-year-old niece.

A: There’s no strict age limit, and kids are welcome! Just keep in mind that younger participants might need some help with the folding techniques, but Chef Lina is super patient and great with beginners. It's a fun way to bond over cooking, and I think your niece will love it!

Q: What should I wear to the class? Is it messy?

A: Definitely wear something comfy but don’t mind getting a little messy! An apron is provided, but you might end up with flour or broth on your clothes. I'd recommend closed-toe shoes since you’ll be working around the kitchen. Just keep it casual!

Q: Can you reschedule if something comes up? What’s the policy?

A: Yes, you can reschedule! Just reach out to Classpop's customer service at least 48 hours before your class. They’re pretty accommodating. But if you miss the cutoff, you may lose your spot. So, it’s best to plan ahead!

Just booked the Fun Wonton Cooking Class with Chef Lina!

I’m super excited! I got this as a gift for my sister’s birthday since she loves cooking and trying new recipes. The description says we’ll be making wonton noodle soup, and I can’t wait to learn the folding technique. Has anyone done this? What should I expect?

Had an awesome time at the Wonton Class in Sacramento!

Just got back from the class, and wow, it was so much fun! Chef Lina made it easy to follow along, and we got to eat our own creations at the end. If you like Asian cuisine, this is a must-do! The space was really cool too, in a local brewery. I’m thinking about taking my mom next time!
