Small Groups ✦ History ✦ Architecture ✦ Scandal See the gorgeous architecture and lush gardens of the Garden District, as we peer behind the curtain at the secrets and scandals that make it legendary. We bring a private tour experience to every tour, by limiting it to small groups, and personalizing the tour for you. Hear stories of gamblers, corrupt politicians, con artists, and a rock star who caused a scene. See filming locations, & celebrity homes, on the way. Although the cemetery has been closed indefinitely to all tours by the city, we'll see tombs from the gate and discuss the place's history and burial methods. We'll discuss architecture styles popular in the neighborhood's growth, and some unusual homes as well! We'll end at the largest home in the neighborhood -- also a main location from American Horror Story, Coven season. Our focus is that you get more than a great two-hour experience, but connection points to our city, and its stories, that you'll never forget.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for the Garden District Secrets and Scandals Tour?

A: There’s no strict age limit for the tour! It’s family-friendly, but keep in mind that it involves a bit of walking and some historical discussions that might not interest very young children. I'd recommend it for ages 10 and up, especially since it touches on some adult themes like scandals and history.

Q: What should I wear for the Garden District tour? Is it casual or more dressy?

A: Casual is the way to go! You’ll be walking around the streets, so comfy shoes are a must. Lightweight clothing is ideal, especially in the warmer months. Just keep in mind it could rain, so maybe pack a light poncho. Enjoy the sights!

Q: What happens if it rains on the day of the Garden District tour?

A: If the weather looks bad, you can usually reschedule your tour with the provider. They’re pretty flexible about it. Just check their cancellation policy and give them a call! Rain can actually make the gardens look even more vibrant sometimes, but it's good to be prepared.
