This tour offers a rare opportunity to observe Florida’s most iconic wildlife from the unique vantage point of a clear kayak or paddleboard on the Silver River. With exceptional water clarity, you can often see fish and turtles swimming below while alligators rest along the shoreline — all from a safe and respectful distance. Silver Springs is one of the state’s oldest and most historic natural attractions, home to diverse ecosystems that support gators, turtles, wading birds, manatees (seasonal), and even wild rhesus monkeys. The visibility here is unmatched, creating vivid blues and greens that feel almost unreal. Unlike standard kayak tours, our transparent vessels provide continuous underwater viewing, adding an entirely new dimension to wildlife observation. Throughout the experience, your knowledgeable guide shares insight into the river’s ecology, history, and conservation, transforming a paddle into a deeper understanding of wild Florida.

Q&A

Q: Are there any age limits for the Gator Viewing Clear Kayak Springs Tour?

A: Yes, there are age restrictions for the tour. Kids must be at least 5 years old to participate in the kayaking or paddleboarding. It's a great family activity, but younger kids might not be able to handle it. Just make sure to bring a life jacket that fits properly!

Q: What should we wear for the clear kayak tour? Is it super hot out there?

A: Definitely wear lightweight, breathable clothing! The heat can be intense, especially in Orlando, so quick-dry shorts and a breathable tank top work well. Also, don’t forget your sunscreen and a hat! Flip-flops are fine but closed-toe sandals are better for paddle boarding.

Q: How's the parking situation at Silver Springs for the tour?

A: Parking at Silver Springs is pretty straightforward. There’s a large parking lot right at the entrance, and it's usually not too crowded. Just be sure to arrive a bit early, especially on weekends, since it can fill up fast during peak times. The entrance fee is separate, so take that into account!

Just did the Gator Viewing Clear Kayak Tour and it was AMAZING!

Wow, I can't believe how close we got to the gators! The clear kayaks let you see fish swimming below and one of our guides showed us the wild monkeys too. We went out on a Saturday morning and the weather was perfect. Just a heads up, the paddleboarding was a bit challenging at first, but totally worth it. Highly recommend this if you're in Orlando!

Thinking of gifting the Gator Viewing Tour, any thoughts?

I'm considering this tour for my husband’s birthday. He loves kayaking and wildlife! But I’m not sure if it’s too easy or if it would bore him. Also, how’s the guide? Do they really share interesting info? Any advice would be awesome!
