Q&A
A: Yes, the Gaviota Coast Kayak Tour is generally recommended for participants aged 8 and up. Kids under 16 should be accompanied by an adult. Make sure to check with the provider for any specific restrictions or requirements.
A: If weather conditions are unsafe, the tour will be rescheduled or canceled. The company typically provides a full refund if they can't accommodate you on another day. It’s always good to call ahead and check the forecast!
A: Wear a swimsuit or quick-dry clothes. They provide wetsuits and paddle jackets, but I’d recommend bringing a hat and sunscreen too! It can get sunny out there, even if it's cool in the morning.

Thinking of gifting the Gaviota Coast Kayak Tour - any thoughts?
I’m considering this kayak tour near Santa Barbara for my friend’s birthday. It’s 3.5 hours long and sounds amazing with all the wildlife! Just wondering if anyone has done it and what their experience was like. I’d love to hear if it’s worth it.
Just did the Gaviota Coast Kayak Tour - so much fun!
I just got back from the kayak tour and wow, it was incredible! Beautiful scenery, the wildlife was amazing (we even saw a sea otter!), and the guides were really knowledgeable. They provided all the gear, and I felt super safe the whole time. Highly recommend it as a gift or for yourself!
