Sample local meats, locally produced spirits, handmade chocolates and unique specialty foods while you exploring the historic neighborhood of Germantown on our walking food and cultural tour.  Germantown is Nashville's oldest neighborhood and one of its newest and trendiest redeveloped areas. Its brick-lined streets, Victorian homes, and quaint shops have been updated to include food and drink experiences that you won't want to miss! Along the way, you'll visit the Farmer's Market, walk through the fountains, flagpoles, and bell towers at Bicentennial Mall, pass the Walk of Counties, Sulphur Dell Park, and walk over the top of historic French Lick Creek, as we share the stories of Nashville's early years and its current culture, all with a knowledgeable and fun local guide and a small group of fellow food adventurers!

Q&A

Q: Is there a lot of walking involved in the Germantown food tour? I'm not super fit.

A: It's a moderate amount of walking, but totally manageable! You’re gonna cover about 1.5 to 2 miles at a relaxed pace. The guide makes plenty of stops for food tastings, so you won't feel rushed. Just wear comfortable shoes and you'll be fine!

Q: Are kids allowed on the Germantown tour? Looking for a family outing!

A: Yes, kids are welcome! The tour is designed for all ages. Just be mindful that some tastings include alcohol, but there are non-alcoholic options too. It’s a great way to introduce them to local culture and yummy food!

Q: Can we reschedule if something comes up? What's the policy for cancellations?

A: Yes, you can reschedule! Just give them at least 24 hours notice. If it’s a last-minute cancellation, you might lose out on your payment, so it's best to plan ahead if you can. They’re pretty flexible with changes!

Just did the Germantown food tour—What an experience!

I just got back from the Germantown Neighborhood Food & Sightseeing Walking Tour and WOW! The local meats and handmade chocolates were beyond delicious. Our guide was super knowledgeable about the history of Germantown, which made the walking part really interesting. Plus, the Farmer’s Market stop was a highlight. I definitely recommend this for anyone visiting Nashville or even locals looking for something fun to do. Worth every penny!

Thinking of gifting the Germantown tour—Who’s it best for?

I’m considering getting the Germantown food tour as a gift for my parents who are visiting Nashville next month. They love trying new food and learning about local culture. Is this a good choice? How long does the tour usually take? Any thoughts would be appreciated!
