Q&A
A: The tour is designed primarily for kids ages 6 and up, but if you have a younger child, they’re welcome as long as they're in a stroller. The staff is great about accommodating little ones! Just make sure to check with them ahead of time to see if they can make any special arrangements.
A: The scheduling is quite flexible! If the posted times don’t work for you, just reach out to them directly. They’re really accommodating and can often fit you in. Just keep in mind that larger groups may need to book further ahead to secure a spot.
A: Dress comfortably! The Getty Center has a lot of walking involved, so good shoes are a must. Layers are also a great idea since it can be chilly inside the galleries but warm outside. Don't forget a hat and sunscreen for the outdoor areas!

Thinking of gifting the Getty Center Tour for Kids - any thoughts?
I’m considering this for my niece’s birthday. She’s 8 and loves art, but I’m not sure if this is the right experience for her. Has anyone done it? What’s the tour like? Any tips for first timers? The idea of her getting an “Art Appreciation Badge” sounds cute!
Just went to the Getty Center Tour for Kids - here’s my review!
I took my 7-year-old last weekend and it was such a fun experience! The tour was very interactive and the guides made it exciting for the kids. Plus, they got their own badges at the end, which was a huge hit! I highly recommend it for families looking to do something unique in LA.
