Q&A
A: If it rains, the walking tour typically still goes on unless there are severe weather warnings. It’s a good idea to check the forecast and bring a rain jacket or umbrella just in case. The guides are experienced and know how to keep the tour engaging, even in less-than-ideal weather!
A: The tour is generally suitable for older kids, around 10 and up, who can handle walking and are interested in history. The guide does a great job of making the stories engaging for younger audiences. However, younger kids may find it a bit long, so you might want to consider that when planning.
A: Yes, you can reschedule, but it’s best to contact the guides directly as soon as you know you need to change plans. They’re pretty accommodating, but it’s good to give them a heads up. Just make sure to check their policy regarding how far in advance you can reschedule.

Just booked the Gettysburg Walking Tour!
I just bought tickets for the Danger & Courage walking tour in Gettysburg! I’m so excited to learn about the history there, especially Jennie Wade’s story. It’s perfect for my boyfriend who loves Civil War history. I heard the guides are really knowledgeable, but I’m just worried about walking the whole hour. Are there any breaks?
Has anyone done the Danger & Courage tour?
I’m thinking of gifting this experience to my dad for his birthday. He loves history but can be picky about tours. I love that the group is small, and it's focused on a specific area of Gettysburg. Would you recommend it? What were your highlights?
