Q&A
A: The tour is generally family-friendly, so kids can absolutely join! Just keep in mind that it’s a walking tour, so younger kids might need a bit of encouragement. There’s no strict age limit, but parents should consider if the kids can handle an hour on foot. Bringing a stroller for little ones is also an option since it's all on sidewalks.
A: The tour usually runs rain or shine, but if the weather is severe, they might cancel. It’s best to check the forecast and reach out to the guides if you're unsure. They’ll let you know about rescheduling options if that happens. Bring an umbrella just in case!
A: Parking can be tricky since it's a busy area, but there are public lots nearby. I recommend getting there early to snag a spot, especially on weekends. There's also street parking available, but make sure to check the signs for any restrictions. If you’re staying in town, walking to the starting point is a good option too!

Considering the Gettysburg Walking Tour for my history-loving dad!
Hey everyone! I’m thinking of getting the one-hour Civilian Experience walking tour for my dad's birthday. He’s really into history and I know he’d love to learn more about Lincoln’s visit and the town’s role in the Civil War. Has anyone done this tour? What was the guide like? Any tips on what to wear?
Just got back from the Gettysburg Civilian Experience tour!
Wow, what an amazing experience! Just did the Civilian Experience tour and learned so much about the town’s history. The guide was super friendly and kept it interesting. It helped that our group was small, so we could ask questions easily. Definitely recommend it to anyone who loves history. Thinking about doing the Danger & Courage tour next!
