The Ghosts of Christmas: Charles Dickens Christmas walking tour is by far, the most immersive and engaging small group tour experience in Savannah during the Christmas holidays. Several key ingredients set this tour apart: It is limited to a maximum of 12 special guests and contains key ingredients not found in most walking tours. Led by 'The Fiddler of Christmas' as their guide, guests are taken to off-the-beaten-track, Christmas-decorated routes, and tour stop. Throughout the tour guests are regaled with Victorian Savannah Christmas traditions, Victorian Savannah Ghost Stories, dramatic, ghostly scene performances from 'A Christmas Carol' by Charles Dickens, and haunting Christmas carols by the guide, 'The Fiddler of Christmas' and served a glass and a toast of Chatham Artillery Eggnog at the end! Finally, the proceeds from the tour are being directed to the creation of a new, grass-roots initiative to reduce homelessness in Savannah in half by Christmas 2023.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this tour?

A: There isn't a strict age limit, but the tour is best suited for older kids (around 10+) who can handle the ghost stories and the longer walking duration. It's quite engaging for teens and adults too! If you're considering it for younger kids, just be aware that some scenes can be a bit spooky.

Q: What do you wear for this tour? Is it outdoors?

A: Yes, the tour is mostly outdoors, so definitely dress for the weather! I usually wear layers since it can get chilly in the evenings during the holiday season. Comfortable shoes are a must because there's a fair bit of walking involved.

Q: Can you reschedule if something comes up?

A: Yes! You can reschedule as long as you give at least 48 hours notice. Just reach out to the tour provider, and they’ll help you find another date that works.

Just booked the Ghosts of Christmas tour for my family! Any tips?

I just snagged tickets for the Ghosts of Christmas tour in Savannah! Can’t wait to see the performances and hear the ghost stories. I’m taking my kids, and I hope they’ll enjoy the Victorian traditions too. Should I prepare them at all for the ghost stories? Any must-have items to bring?

Anyone done the Ghosts of Christmas tour? How was it?

I’m thinking of giving the Ghosts of Christmas tour as a gift for my parents this year. They love Dickens and ghost stories! How was it for you? Were the performances good? Would they enjoy it? And what’s the eggnog like?
