Q&A
A: The best time to go is actually late spring to early fall. The water is typically clearer, and the marine life is really active during those months. Plus, the weather is usually nice, making it perfect for a boat tour. If you want fewer crowds, try going early on a weekday, too!
A: There's no strict age limit, but it's recommended for kids 5 and up. They have to be able to sit still for the duration of the tour, and they’ll enjoy it more if they can appreciate the sea life. Also, I saw some families with younger kids, and they seemed to have a great time, just keep an eye on them!
A: If the weather's bad, they usually contact you ahead of time to reschedule. They want to ensure everyone's safety and comfort. Just make sure to check the policy when booking, as some spots fill up fast, especially on weekends. They’re pretty flexible if you need to change dates!

Thinking of gifting the Glass Bottom Boat tour for my parents' anniversary!
Hey everyone! I’m looking to surprise my parents with the Glass Bottom Boat tour at Catalina Island. They love the ocean but have never done something like this. Any tips on what to expect? What’s it like to see the marine life? I want to make sure it’s a memorable experience for them!
Just got back from the Glass Bottom Boat tour!
OMG, I just did the Glass Bottom Boat tour and it was AMAZING! We saw so many colorful fish and even a sea turtle! The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. The best part was when they let us feed the fish right from the boat! Highly recommend this for anyone visiting Catalina Island!
