Q&A
A: Yes, there is a weight limit of about 400 lbs for the double kayaks, and around 250 lbs for the singles. It's great for families or friends to paddle together, but make sure to check the total weight if you're sharing! If you're over the limit, you might want to consider going solo or splitting into different kayaks.
A: Definitely wear a swimsuit or quick-drying clothes! Flip-flops are fine, but water shoes are better if you plan on exploring the sandbars. Also, don’t forget sunscreen and a hat, it gets really sunny out there!
A: If the weather looks bad, Sharkey's will reach out to you to discuss rescheduling. They’re really flexible about it! Just keep an eye on the forecast and stay in touch with them if you think there might be an issue.

Just did the glass bottom kayak tour at St. Pete Beach!
OMG, we had such a blast! We took the kayaks out to Eleanor Island and the views were stunning. The glass bottoms let us see fish swimming below, and we even saw a dolphin! We packed a cooler with snacks and set up on the beach for a bit. The mangrove tunnel was a fun little adventure too. Highly recommend this for a chill day with friends or family! Can't wait to do it again.
Thinking about gifting the glass bottom kayaks experience!
I'm looking for a unique gift for my parents' anniversary. This kayak adventure looks awesome! The fact that it’s private and non-guided is perfect for them, but I'm curious if they’ll enjoy the snorkeling part or if it’s more for active folks. Anyone have thoughts on it?
