Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit, but they recommend that kids be at least 8 years old to ensure they can handle the snorkeling part and follow instructions. It’s really important to have a parent or guardian with them to keep things safe and fun. Also, kids need to be comfortable in the water, as it can get a bit dark and deep!
A: If the weather isn’t cooperating, they’ll usually let you know a few hours prior. They want everyone to have a great experience, so safety comes first. In case of cancellation, they often offer to reschedule for another date, which is super convenient!
A: Wear a swimsuit under the wetsuit provided by them. It can get a bit chilly once you’re in the water. Also, a light cover-up for the boat ride is a good idea. Don’t forget to bring a towel and maybe sandals for walking around the dock!

Just did the night snorkeling with mantas, it was magical!
Wow, I can't recommend the Glow of the Deep experience enough! The guides at Bite Me Sportfishing were super friendly and made sure we got to see the mantas up close. They use these awesome lights that really attract the rays, and swimming with them in the dark was just surreal. We even caught a stunning sunset before jumping in! An absolute must-do if you're on the Big Island!
Thinking about gifting the night snorkeling experience for my fiancé's birthday
Hey everyone! I'm considering booking the night snorkeling with manta rays as a surprise for my fiancé's birthday. He loves the ocean and this sounds perfect! I just want to know if anyone has tips on the best time to go or any must-try snacks on the boat?
