Q&A
A: Definitely wear comfortable clothes that you can move in and layer up a bit since it can get windy near the bridge! Closed-toe shoes are a must for safety while riding, and I’d recommend sunglasses and sunscreen too. If it’s a cool day, a light jacket is a good idea because it can get chilly by the water.
A: There aren’t strict age limits, but kids typically need to be at least 10 years old to ride solo on their own bike. They do have tandem bikes for younger kids if you want to rent one of those! Just make sure to check with the rental place about any specific requirements.
A: Yes, you can reschedule your bike rental! Just make sure to contact Unlimited Biking at least 24 hours in advance. They’re usually pretty accommodating, but it’s best to check their specific policy just in case.

Just did the Golden Gate Bridge bike rental and it was AMAZING!
I recently booked the Golden Gate Bridge bike rental from Ghirardelli Square, and it was such a blast! The bike had a basket for my stuff, which was super convenient. Biking across the bridge was surreal. Just a heads up though, I’d definitely recommend going early since the bikes sell out fast. I also got the ferry ticket back from Sausalito, which made for a perfect end to the day. Highly recommend this for anyone visiting San Francisco!
Considering gifting the bike rental experience!
I’m thinking of giving this bike rental as a gift to my brother who loves biking. Is it easy to navigate around SF? I’m a bit worried about him getting lost since he’s not super familiar with the area. Any tips?
