Q&A
A: There isn't a strict age limit, but the tour is best for kids aged 8 and up. They do need to be able to paddle and follow instructions. If you're bringing younger kids, just check with the guides to see if they can accommodate them! Perfect for family bonding!
A: The best time for whale watching in Maui is from December to April. During this time, you’re very likely to see them breaching! Just keep in mind, it can get crowded, so booking in advance is a good idea.
A: Definitely wear a swimsuit or quick-dry clothes, and don’t forget a rash guard if you burn easily! Also, bring a hat and sunglasses. Water shoes are a must for getting in and out of the kayak comfortably. It can get sunny out there!

Just came back from the Golden Hour Kayak and Whale Watch... WOW!
I went on this tour last week and it was unreal! We saw 3 whales breach right in front of us! The guides were super friendly and knowledgable, making the experience feel really personal. Plus, the views of Maui's coastline are breathtaking at sunset. Can't recommend this enough for anyone visiting Maui! It was worth every penny.
Thinking of gifting the kayak tour for my partner's birthday!
Hey everyone! I'm considering gifting the Golden Hour Kayak and Whale Watch for my boyfriend's birthday. He loves adventure, but I’m not sure if he’d be comfortable on the water. Any thoughts? Has anyone done it? I want it to be special!
