Q&A
A: Layering is key! Even in the summer, it can get pretty chilly once the sun goes down. I recommend wearing a t-shirt with a light jacket or sweater. Comfortable shoes are a must since you’ll be walking around at the rim. Don't forget a hat and sunglasses for the daytime!
A: Yes, it's great for kids! Just keep in mind that Arizona law requires children 8 and younger to be in a car seat or booster seat. My 6-year-old loved it! They’ll have a blast exploring the canyon and seeing the sunset. Just be ready for a long day!
A: Yes, rescheduling is usually allowed if the weather’s really bad, like heavy rain or snow. Just give Great West Tours a call as soon as you know. They’re really great about accommodating changes. I had to change mine once due to rain, and they were super helpful!

Just got back from the Grand Canyon sunset tour — wow!
I just did the Grand Canyon sunset tour from Flagstaff and it was incredible! The colors of the canyon at sunset are truly something else. We stopped at the East Rim and had some free time at the South Rim, which was perfect. I took my camera and got some amazing shots. Just a heads up, bring a light jacket for after dark. Dinner on your own was great too; we stopped at Cameron Trading Post for some Navajo tacos—delicious! Thinking about gifting this experience to my parents next!
Thinking of gifting the Grand Canyon sunset tour for my brother's birthday!
I want to get my brother something special for his birthday and I think this Grand Canyon sunset tour could be awesome. He loves the outdoors and I heard the views are unbeatable. Is there any specific time of year that’s best for the colors? I want to make sure he has the best experience possible!
