Q&A
A: Yes, children must be at least 2 years old to go on the tour. Kids under 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult. It's a great family experience, but just make sure they can handle the helicopter ride and boat. The views are amazing, and kids usually love it!
A: Weather can definitely affect the tour. If conditions aren't safe for flying, Papillon Helicopters will usually reschedule your tour for a different day or offer a refund. Just keep an eye on the forecast and be flexible with your plans. It’s worth the wait for clear skies!
A: Wear comfortable clothes and shoes, especially something lightweight and breathable. It can get chilly in the helicopter, so I’d recommend a light jacket. Also, don’t forget sunglasses and sunscreen; the sun can be intense when you’re out on the water. Enjoy your ride!

Just did the Grand Canyon Heli Tour, and WOW!
I recently gifted the Grand Canyon West Heli Tour with Boat Ride to my parents, and they absolutely loved it! The helicopter ride was stunning, and descending 4,000 feet was a thrill. The boat ride on the Colorado River was so peaceful. They said it felt surreal floating between those massive rock formations. Highly recommend it for any nature lovers! Total cost was around $400 for two, but worth every penny.
Thinking about the Heli Tour as a gift, need advice!
I’m considering getting this Grand Canyon heli tour for my boyfriend’s birthday. He loves adventure stuff! Just want to know if it’s safe and if I should book now or wait for a better price? Also, how long does the whole experience take?
