Q&A

Q: What's the best time of year to do the private wildlife safari in Grand Teton?

A: The best time for the safari really depends on what wildlife you want to see! Spring (April to June) is great for baby animals, while fall (September to October) is prime for elk rutting. Summer months can be crowded but you’ll see lots of activity. They run dawn and dusk tours, so it’s worth checking with the guides for specific wildlife spotting during your trip.

Q: Do they really have a 'See Wildlife or Your Tour is Free' policy?

A: Yep, that policy is legit! I did the safari last month and we saw moose, bears, and even a bald eagle! The guides are super knowledgeable, and if you don’t see any wildlife, you get your money back. Just make sure to go at dawn or dusk for the best chance.

Q: What should we wear for the wildlife safari? Is it cold in the mornings?

A: Definitely dress in layers! Mornings can be chilly, especially in the fall. I suggest wearing a warm jacket and maybe a beanie. You might want to bring gloves too, just in case. Comfortable shoes are a must since you might do some walking. The guides have hot chocolate, which is perfect for warming up afterward!

Just booked the Grand Teton Private Wildlife Safari! Any tips?

I'm so excited! I just booked the private wildlife safari for my family for next month. We opted for the dawn tour since I heard the wildlife is most active then. It’ll be our first time in Grand Teton, and I want to make sure we’re prepared. Any tips on what to expect or what to bring?

Has anyone done the dusk safari? How was it?

I'm thinking about gifting the dusk wildlife safari experience for my partner's birthday. Just curious if anyone has done it. Is it worth it? I read they have this awesome hot chocolate included, which sounds amazing for evenings!
