Q&A
A: The best time to take this tour is definitely in the spring and early summer (May to June) when wildlife is more active; you might see moose, elk, and even bears! Wildlife sightings can't be 100% guaranteed, but your guide is pretty experienced at spotting them. Fall can be great too, especially with the fall colors, but animals are harder to find as they prepare for winter.
A: There's minimal hiking involved—most of it is just walking to viewpoints, so it’s suitable for kids and older adults. The tour covers a lot of ground, but the pacing is relaxed, and your guide makes sure everyone is comfortable. Just be sure to wear good walking shoes! Bring a jacket too, it can get chilly in the morning.
A: Definitely dress in layers! Mornings can be cold, especially at dawn, and you’ll want to be comfy when the sun comes up. A light jacket and maybe a hat are good ideas. As for cancellations, they do run rain or shine, but if it’s really severe weather, they might reschedule. Just check with the provider the day before!

Just booked the sunrise tour in Grand Teton! Any tips?
I’m so excited for the sunrise tour from Jackson Hole that I just booked for next month! I’ve heard the views from Oxbow Bend are incredible, and I can't wait to see the wildlife too! Any tips on what I should bring or what to expect? Also, is the breakfast good? I love burritos!
Thinking of gifting the sunrise tour for my parents’ anniversary!
My parents are in their 60s and love nature. I’m considering this sunrise tour as an anniversary gift. Would they enjoy it? What’s the age range like on the tour? Any feedback from older participants would be great!
