We offer private and semi-private encounters with wildlife emphasizing on intimate experiences. During the trip, we will be looking for the Great White Shark, but we often encounter whales, porpoises, dolphin, seals, Sea Lions, Sea Otters and sometimes even Killer Whales. Once on the boat in Monterey, guests are in a unique position, each guests 1 of the 6 comfortable seats on the boat to view a lot of different wildlife. Everyday is different, expect to have a good time seeing lots of different wildlife. Don't have a group, give us a call for individual trips

Q: What's the age limit for kids on the shark tour? My son is 12 and he's obsessed with sharks!

A: The experience is great for kids aged 10 and up! Just make sure they're comfortable on a boat and excited about wildlife. The tour is designed to be educational and fun for all ages.

Q: Can we reschedule if the weather looks bad on our original date? Don't want to be stuck on a boat if it's rough!

A: Absolutely! If the weather isn't safe, Ocean Safaris will contact you to reschedule. They prioritize safety and want everyone to have a great time.

Q: What should I wear for this shark encounter? Do I need special gear?

A: Dress in layers! It can get chilly out on the water, so a warm jacket is a must. They provide life jackets, but you should wear comfortable shoes that can get wet. Don't forget sunscreen!

Incredible Shark Encounter Experience!

Just got back from the Great White Sharks Topside tour in Monterey Bay, and wow! We saw a couple of great whites, and dolphins too! The guide was super knowledgeable, and there were only 5 of us on the boat. It felt really intimate. Definitely worth every penny, even though I got soaked from the splashes! Highly recommend for anyone who loves marine life!

I'm thinking about buying this as a gift for my husband who’s a huge shark enthusiast. Is it suitable for beginners? Also, how early should we arrive for check-in? Any other tips would be great!
