Learn to surf in a group setting with our instructors here at Sea Maui Surf! Your group lesson will begin with a land lesson going over ocean safety and beginner level basic steps to learn everything you nee to know on your lesson! As you are in a group setting all participants must have the ability to swim and feel comfortable doing so in the ocean on their own. For participants not comfortable with their swimming abilities (or under the age of 13) We must require you to participate in a private or semi private lesson to not take away from the others experience during the group lesson.

Q: What if the weather is bad on the day of the lesson? Can we reschedule?

A: If the weather isn’t cooperating, Sea Maui Surf will usually reach out to reschedule your lesson. They want to make sure you have a great experience! Just make sure to keep an eye on your email or give them a call if you’re unsure.

Q: Is there an age limit for the group lessons, or can kids participate?

A: Kids can participate, but they must be 13 or older to join the group lessons. If they’re younger, you’ll need to book a private lesson. It’s all about keeping them safe and making sure everyone has a good time!

Q: What should we wear for the surf lesson? Do they provide everything?

A: You'll want to wear a swimsuit, but they do provide rash guards and booties to keep you comfortable in the water. Just make sure you have sunscreen on too, as you’ll be out in the sun a lot!

Hey everyone! I’m considering gifting a group surf lesson at Kaanapali Beach from Sea Maui Surf for my friend's birthday. I’ve heard great things about their instructors, but I’m worried about the swimming requirement. My friend isn’t the best swimmer but is super adventurous. Any tips or thoughts?

Just did the group surf lessons at Kaanapali Beach!

I went last week with a group of friends and had the best time! The instructors at Sea Maui Surf were super chill and helped us all catch our first waves. Remember, you need to be a decent swimmer, but if you are, it's a blast. The vibe on Kaanapali is unreal! Highly recommend it!
