Q: Is there an age limit for the horseback ride at Rancho de Los Cerros?

A: Yes, children must be at least 8 years old to participate in the horseback riding experience at Catalina State Park. This ensures that they can handle the horse and follow safety instructions. It’s a fantastic experience for families, but keep the age requirement in mind when planning your outing!

Q: What should I wear for the horseback ride? Is it casual or should I dress up?

A: Comfort is key! Wear long pants and closed-toe shoes or boots, as you’ll be on horseback for about 90 minutes. It's best to avoid sandals or flip-flops. Also, consider the weather—if it’s sunny, a hat and sunscreen might be a good idea!

Q: What happens if the weather is bad on the day of our ride?

A: If the weather doesn’t cooperate, Rancho de Los Cerros will contact you to reschedule. They really want to provide a great experience, so safety is a priority. Just be sure to check the forecast in advance and keep an eye on your email!

I’m so excited! I just bought a gift experience for my mom’s birthday at Rancho de Los Cerros in Tucson. It’s a 90-minute ride through Catalina State Park. I’ve heard the views are amazing! Any tips on what to expect or how to prepare? Is it suitable for beginners?

Had an amazing time at the horseback ride! Highly recommend!

Just got back from the guided horseback ride at Rancho de Los Cerros. The scenery was breathtaking! Our guide was really knowledgeable about the area too. It’s definitely a must-do if you're in Tucson. My kids had a fantastic time, and it was great for all skill levels. Worth every penny!
