In half a day (4-4.5 hours), we will take you from Homer to the end of the road and beyond, deep into Alaska’s wilderness. We are the only guides offering airboat tours in the rivers at the head of Kachemak Bay, so you will likely not see any others, outside of our group. The physical demands of this tour are minimal if you can climb in and out of an Argo and an airboat, you are good to go.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this airboat tour?

A: There's no strict age limit, but it's best suited for kids aged 5 and up. They need to be able to sit still and wear a life jacket, which is provided. Just make sure they're comfortable with the noise from the airboat and the ride itself—it can be a bit bumpy!

Q: What should we wear for the airboat tour? Is it cold out there?

A: Definitely dress in layers! It can get chilly on the water, especially if it’s windy. A light jacket and some waterproof shoes are a good idea, just in case you get splashed. Don’t forget sunglasses and sunscreen too!

Q: Can we reschedule if the weather is bad?

A: Yes, they’re really flexible with rescheduling due to weather conditions! Just give them a call a day or two before your tour if you have concerns. They’ll work with you to find a new time to go. It's all about safety!

Just booked the airboat tour in Homer! Any tips?

I just got tickets for the guided airboat tour from Homer and I’m so pumped! I've heard it's a unique way to experience Alaska’s wilderness. The idea of cruising through those rivers has me excited. I’m bringing my girlfriend and I hope it's as epic as it sounds. Any advice on what to bring or what to expect?

Has anyone done the airboat tour with kids?

I’m thinking of getting the airboat tour as a family gift for my kids. They’re 8 and 10, and they’re adventurous for sure, but I’m curious if it’s a good fit for them. Any feedback would be appreciated!
