Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on the Guided Coastal Hike?

A: Nope, this hike is designed for all ages starting from 2 years old! My 4-year-old loved exploring the tide pools and spotting dolphins. Just keep in mind that you might want to bring a stroller for younger kids if they get tired.

Q: What should we wear for the coastal hike? Is it casual or more rugged?

A: Casual but comfy is key! Wear good walking shoes since you'll be on sandy and rocky areas. I'd recommend layering up a bit since the coastal weather can change quickly, especially in the mornings or evenings.

Q: Can we reschedule our hike if the weather doesn't cooperate?

A: Yes, you can reschedule if the weather looks bad! Coastal Explorer is pretty flexible. Just reach out to them to check available dates. We had to reschedule our hike a couple weeks ago due to rain, and they were super understanding.

Thinking of gifting the Guided Coastal Hike in Dana Point!

I’m looking at gifting the Guided Coastal Hike and Ecology Tour in Dana Point to my parents. They love nature and are super into coastal ecology! I know it’s family-friendly and good for different fitness levels, but I’m curious about the best times to go. Any tips on when to catch the most wildlife? Also, how’s the parking situation there?

Just finished the Guided Coastal Hike and it was amazing!

Wow, I just did the Guided Coastal Hike and I can’t recommend it enough! The views of the coastline were breathtaking, and our guide was super knowledgeable about everything from the tide pools to local history. We even spotted a bunch of pelicans! Definitely wear good shoes, and bring a camera because the photo ops are endless!
