Q&A
A: Definitely layer up! Start with a moisture-wicking base layer, then add an insulating layer like a fleece, and finish with a waterproof shell. Don’t forget to wear warm socks and gloves. It can get chilly out there, but you'll be moving a lot, so don't overdress either!
A: Great question! The guided cross country skiing is suitable for all ages. Kids as young as 8 can join, as long as they’re comfortable on skis. It’s a fantastic way to introduce them to winter sports in a safe and fun environment.
A: If the weather doesn’t cooperate, the guides will reach out and help you reschedule. Safety is their top priority, so if conditions aren’t safe for skiing, they’ll make sure you can pick another day. No stress!

Thinking about gifting guided cross country skiing in Lake Tahoe for my sister's birthday!
Has anyone done the guided cross country skiing at Lake Tahoe? I’m looking into it for my sister since she loves snow sports but hasn’t tried skiing yet. I saw it’s included with skis and poles, which is great since I don't want to buy her gear just yet. How was the experience for you? Any tips?
Just got back from guided skiing at Lake Tahoe. What a ride!
I went cross country skiing with Tahoe Multisport last weekend, and I can’t recommend it enough! The guides knew all the best spots and took great care of us. Learned so much in a short time! Definitely worth every penny (even though it was free for me!). Planning to take my friends next time!
