Q&A

Q: What should I wear for the Amish Country trip? Is it mostly indoors or outdoors?

A: I'd recommend wearing comfortable, casual clothes since you'll be walking around both indoors and outdoors. Good walking shoes are a must! The Amish Village Museum has some indoor exhibits, but you’ll also be outside exploring the areas and shops. Weather can really vary, so check the forecast before you go!

Q: How much time do we actually get to spend in Amish Country? Is there enough time to shop?

A: You usually get a full day, so there’s plenty of time! After the museum tour, you'll make several stops for shopping, plus there’s time to grab lunch and dessert at local spots. If you really love shopping for unique items like quilts and jams, you might want to plan your stops carefully to maximize your time. It's all pretty well organized!

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this tour? My niece is only 7.

A: There's no official age limit, and many families bring younger kids along. The tour is usually very family-friendly, with lots of engaging sights. Just make sure she can handle a day of walking, as there’s quite a bit of exploring outdoors!

Just got back from the Amish Country trip - it was a blast!

I recently took the Guided Day Trip to Amish Country from Philadelphia and I can’t recommend it enough! The van ride was super comfy, and our guide was really knowledgeable about the Amish lifestyle. The homemade food was out of this world, especially the whoopie pies! We got to visit the Amish Village Museum and then hit up some local shops for quilts and jams. Perfect day trip for anyone interested in a different way of life!

Thinking of gifting the Amish Country tour - opinions?

I want to give my parents a unique experience for their anniversary, and this Amish Country trip seems perfect! They love exploring new cultures and trying different foods. I’ve read great things about the food part, but how's the sightseeing? Any tips for first-time buyers? Trying to make it special!
