On this trail, you may see bighorn mountain sheep, bald eagles, and more wildlife. The landscape is dotted with towering saguaros, cholla, jojoba, and prickly pear. This Hike's difficulty rating is considered moderate and about 4.5 miles out and back, with an elevation gain of about 636 ft and its highest grade of 15%.

Q: Is there an age limit for this hike? Can kids join?

A: There's no strict age limit, but I'd say the hike's moderate difficulty and 4.5-mile length might be challenging for very young kids. I took my 12-year-old, and they loved it! Just make sure they're up for some elevation gain and can handle the heat in Phoenix.

Q: What if the weather is bad? Can we reschedule?

A: If the weather is unsafe, like heavy rain or storms, they usually allow you to reschedule. I'd recommend calling Saguaro Lake Ranch directly to confirm their policy ahead of time. They've been pretty accommodating in my experience!

Q: What should we wear for this hike? Any recommended gear?

A: Wear good hiking shoes with grip! The trail can get a bit rocky. I'd suggest lightweight, breathable clothes since it can get hot, and don’t forget a hat and sunscreen. A small backpack for snacks and water is also a good idea, even though they provide snacks and drinks.

My Saguaro Lake View hike experience!

Just got back from the Saguaro Lake View hike, and wow! It was breathtaking. The trail had some challenging parts, but the views of the lake were worth every step. We even saw a bald eagle soaring above us! Highly recommend this as a gift for anyone who loves nature.
