Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for the kayak tour? Can kids join?

A: Yes, kids can definitely join the kayak tour! There's no strict age limit, but it's recommended for children ages 6 and up. They should be able to follow instructions and paddle safely. Make sure they wear a life jacket, which is provided. It’s a fun family activity!

Q: What should we wear? Is it okay if it rains?

A: Wear lightweight and quick-drying clothes. A swimsuit under a t-shirt works well. If there's a chance of rain, a light waterproof jacket is a good idea. They usually go out in light rain, but heavy storms can cancel the tour. Always check the weather beforehand!

Q: How's the parking around the marina? Is it easy to find?

A: Parking is pretty straightforward at St. Augustine Municipal Marina. There’s a small parking lot right next to the marina and some street parking available too. Just be mindful of the time limits on street spots. Arriving a bit early is a smart move, so you don't miss your tour!

Looking for a fun gift for my parents - kayaked in St. Augustine!

Hey everyone! I just booked the guided salt marsh kayak tour for my parents' anniversary. I’ve heard great things about it! They’re in their 60s and love nature, so I think this will be perfect. I read it’s like 2 hours, which seems just right for them! Anyone else done this? What do they think about the guides?

Took the kayak tour today - here's my experience!

Just got back from the guided salt marsh kayak tour and wow, what an experience! The views of the Spanish Fort were breathtaking. Our guide was really friendly and shared loads of interesting info about the wildlife. I definitely recommend it for anyone looking to get outside and try something new. It's perfect for beginners too!
