Q&A
A: If the weather's bad, the team at Wings Air Helicopters will typically reschedule your flight. They prioritize safety, so if there are any concerns about visibility or wind, you should be able to get a new date without issue. Just make sure to check their cancellation policy when you book! Also, keep an eye on the forecast a few days ahead.
A: There’s no strict age limit, but kids should be at least 2 years old to fly in the helicopter. They’ll need a seat of their own though. Make sure any young ones are comfortable with flying since it can be a bit noisy. Also, if they're playing golf, you might want to check with the course about any specific age requirements.
A: For golf, you'll want to wear typical golf attire, like collared shirts and slacks or shorts. Montauk can get windy, so I’d suggest a light jacket just in case. Comfortable golf shoes are a must as well. And don’t forget sunscreen, as you’ll be outside a lot!

Just booked the Helicopter Golf Experience! Any tips?
I just snagged the Guided Seaside Golf Excursion with Private Helicopter for my boyfriend’s birthday! We're both super excited about the helicopter ride and playing 9 holes at Montauk Downs. We’ve never been on a helicopter before. Any tips for making the most of this experience? How's the food at the lunch spot?
Experience was amazing but had a hiccup!
I recently did the helicopter golf experience, and it was fantastic! The staff were super nice, and Montauk is beautiful. But we had a minor delay due to weather on the way back. Just a heads up - keep your schedule flexible! Still worth every penny, though!
