Q&A
A: Yes, you can definitely reschedule if the weather isn't cooperating! Just call the provider, Bike Maui, and they'll help you find a new date. They seem pretty flexible with rebooking, especially since Haleakala can be unpredictable. Just make sure to give them a heads-up as soon as you can.
A: There is no strict age limit, but kids should be at least 12 years old to ride alone. If they're younger, they can ride with an adult. Just keep in mind that the ride can be a bit steep and lengthy, so make sure they’re comfortable on a bike!
A: Wear comfortable, breathable clothing, and definitely closed-toe shoes! Most folks wear shorts or athletic pants. The rental includes helmets and rain gear if needed, but I'd suggest bringing sunglasses and sunscreen since the sun is pretty strong down there. Trust me, you’ll want to be comfy on the ride!

Just did the Haleakala Downhill Bike Ride – Amazing!
So I just got back from the Haleakala bike ride and wow, what an experience! Riding down from the summit was surreal. The views are breathtaking, and you really feel the thrill as you zoom down the slopes. The bikes were awesome, and they provided everything you need like helmets and maps. We ended up going through Kula and then into Makawao, which has some cute shops. I'd totally recommend this as a gift, especially for adventure lovers! Just keep an eye on the weather.
Considering this as a gift for my boyfriend!
I’m thinking about gifting the Haleakala bike ride to my boyfriend for his birthday! He loves biking and I know he’d enjoy the stunning views. Anyone have experience with the rental process? How much time do we need to set aside for the whole thing?
