Q&A

Q: Is there an age requirement for this biking tour?

A: Yes! All bike riders must be at least 15 years old to participate in the Haleakala Express tour. Also, they need to have some recent biking experience since this ride can be a bit challenging at times.

Q: What should we wear for the bike tour?

A: Definitely wear closed-toe shoes, as that's mandatory! I also recommend layering up with a sweatshirt or jacket because it can be chilly at the top. Don’t forget sunglasses and sunscreen too; the sun can be pretty intense even on cooler days.

Q: What happens if it rains? Do they reschedule?

A: If the weather looks bad, they usually give you a heads up the day before and may offer to reschedule. They provide Helly Hansen rain gear, so if it looks like a light drizzle, you could still go. But for heavy rain, they prioritize safety. Just reach out to them to double-check!

Thinking about gifting the Haleakala Express bike tour!

I’m planning to get this tour for my brother’s birthday. He loves biking, and I think the views from the top would be epic! Has anyone done this? What was your favorite part? I want to make sure it's as awesome as it sounds.

Just finished the Haleakala Express tour—what an experience!

I did the Haleakala Express tour last week, and wow, it was incredible! Starting at 6,500 ft. made for some stunning views all the way down. The bike was super comfy, and the gear they provided was solid. I felt safe the whole time. Definitely wear layers, it gets chilly up there!
