Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit, but kids usually enjoy it more if they're at least 5 or older. The tour involves some driving and high altitude, so younger ones might find it tough. Just keep in mind that it's a long day with dinner at the summit, so be prepared for that if you bring little ones!
A: Definitely dress in layers! It can be warm in Kihei, but at 10,000 ft, it gets pretty chilly after sunset. I'd recommend a light jacket or sweater and closed-toe shoes. And don't forget your sunglasses for the trip up!
A: Yes, you can usually reschedule if the weather looks bad! Just make sure to contact the tour company a few days in advance. They’re pretty flexible, especially if the clouds might spoil the sunset. Just keep an eye on the forecast!

Just did the Haleakala Sunset Tour and WOW!
I went on the Haleakala Sunset Tour last week, and it was honestly one of the coolest experiences! The view at the summit was breathtaking, and we had dinner from Kula Bistro, which was delicious. Our guide shared so much about Maui’s history and culture too. Just a heads up, dress in warm layers! It gets cold after sunset. Definitely recommend this as a gift for any sunset lover!
Thinking of gifting the Haleakala Sunset Tour!
I'm considering this for my parents' anniversary! They love sunsets and are always up for an adventure. Just wondering how long the whole thing takes. Like, do we need to block out the whole evening? Also, do they provide everything for dinner or should I plan for something extra?
