Q&A
A: Definitely dress in layers! It can get a bit chilly out on the water, especially in the morning. A light jacket or windbreaker is a good idea. Also, don’t forget your sunscreen and a hat! You might be on the boat for hours, and the sun can be pretty intense.
A: No age limits here! The charter is super family-friendly. Kids as young as 5 can join and have a blast with some fishing. Capt. Gaige is great with kids and has all the patience in the world to help them reel in their first catch.
A: If the weather looks rough, you can usually reschedule without any hassle. Capt. Gaige will check conditions and give you a heads up. Just make sure to contact them as soon as possible if you need to change plans. Safety is their priority!

Thinking about the Half Day Afternoon Angler Charter - any tips?
I’m considering booking the Half Day Afternoon Angler Charter for my husband’s birthday. We’ve never fished in Hawaii before! The thought of catching a Blue Marlin sounds amazing, but I’m a bit worried about the kids getting bored. Anyone have experience with this charter? What’s it really like? Is there enough action for them?
Just returned from the fishing charter - wow!
We just did the Half Day Afternoon Angler Charter and it was fantastic! The boat was super nice and Capt. Gaige was the best. He made sure everyone was having fun, and we caught some amazing fish. Totally worth the money! I can’t wait to do it again. We brought snacks and drinks, which was perfect for the trip.
