Q&A

Q: What should I wear for the rafting tour? Is it super cold in the water?

A: Definitely wear a swimsuit or quick-dry shorts, and I'd suggest layering with a rash guard or light wetsuit if you're sensitive to cold. The water can be chilly, especially in early spring. Don’t forget water shoes or flip-flops! Sunscreen is a must too.

Q: What's the age limit for this rafting tour? Can kids under 12 join?

A: The age limit for the Numbers rafting tour is typically 12 years and up. It's a Class III-IV, so it can get pretty intense, and younger kids might not handle it well. Always good to check with Dvoraks directly for specific requirements, though!

Q: Is there a backup plan if the weather is bad? Do they cancel often?

A: Dvoraks Expeditions usually monitors the weather closely. They’ll cancel if conditions are unsafe, but they try to reschedule you for another time. Keep an eye on their policy, but most folks I know had good luck with rebooking!

Thinking about giving the Numbers rafting tour as a gift!

Hey everyone! I’m considering gifting the half-day Numbers rafting tour in Buena Vista to my adventurous brother. He’s done some rafting before but mostly just float trips. This looks intense with Class III-IV rapids. Any advice? Is it a good idea for someone who’s a bit of a novice?

Just did the Numbers tour - OMG what a rush!

I went on the Numbers rafting tour last weekend with Dvoraks and it was AMAZING! The guides were super knowledgeable and made us feel safe while going down those wild rapids. Seriously, the views of the Collegiate Peaks while paddling were insane. If you’re thinking about it, just go for it! Worth every penny and more!
